You’re Not a Tree!

I recently posted a quote from Jim Rohn on Facebook:
“If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree.”
On the post, some people contemplated what this meant. One friend wrote, “Trees are cool, with many varieties and growth patterns, even their root systems are complex.”
It’s true that there’s probably no better example of being rooted in the earth than a tree. As humans, keeping grounded is always a good idea. However, some of us get stuck in our little spot in the earth. Whether that “stuck-ness” is in a relationship, work or finances. If we stay immobile in our little spot and expect things to change, we are fooling ourselves. If we don’t like how life is, it’s up to us to do something different! We must free ourselves from the situations and patterns so we can create a new reality.
